The principle of giving and receiving: Does it really work?
To begin with, almost all principles within the confines of science are assumed to work if followed promptly. In fact, they produce the desired results when you operate within the parameters of that principle.
So what is a principle?
The Merriam Webster dictionary defines it as a comprehensive and fundamental law, doctrine, or assumption or simply a rule or code of conduct. I will borrow the last definition a rule or code of conduct: so a Principle is a rule or code of conduct, it means it tells you what to do or how to behave. In my philosophy I learnt about morality and its aim being to prescribe the best conduct of human behaviour in order to live a happy life, I believe principles also act in the same way: They act as rules that guide our conduct and behaviour so that we can live a happy life.
So how is the Principle of giving and receiving help us to live a happy and harmonious life?
First and foremost, to all principles there is a reward we get if we follow them adequately, for this principle each time you give, you receive.
let me share my story:
So for me giving is something I easily do without being coerced, in fact being someone who understand spiritual things, I sometimes pray that someone with a pressing need within my means should get in touch with me so I can help them. And it must be confirmed to me through a gut feeling or a vision that he or she is the right person. in the past, I had a challenge of giving to just anyone and sometimes you might give a person whose ‘thank you’ will not unlock your reward, so i had to be more strategic about who i help. I will share more details on this one later.
So Tuesday this week I was in the spirit and I wanted to help someone and the amount was revealed to me, then someone texted me around midday asking for help with the same exact amount. I knew this the person I was praying for so I did not hesitate, I quickly did the needful. On Wednesday I got a call from someone who I did a small errand for some two weeks ago saying they were paid and want to give me a little appreciation so I was like “ok we can meet”. I gave away a k200 to someone who desperately needed it, then I received a K1,000 for just helping someone do type a document and deliver it on their behalf somewhere.
This looks very easy but I see it as principle at work; I gave willingly and I received not as the measure I gave but even more. This principle really works; each time you give you unlock some doors in your life that begin to favour you. That 'thank you' or 'God bless you' from the receiver always works, This principle even transcends religion, whether Christian, or Muslim, as long as you follow it promptly, it will work for you.
Our bible is even very clear about it, if you want to receive from God, give, it’s that thing which you give that he multiplies and gives back to you. This giving could be in form of a tithe, offering or just charity; giving to the needy.
All principles in science, when you follow them to the latter, they work, so are all principles in other disciplines, business, religion, etc.
